Ascension Tribe is on screensaver mode for 2008

Welcome to the Ascension Tribe theme camp at Burning Man 2007.

At the meeting of body and spirit, energy and inspiration is the Ascension Tribe. Our home is a spiritual, sensual, sexy, and sometimes sacred place for ritual, workshops, performances, and events that celebrate, energize, and unite body and soul. Now in our fifth year of the playa, we offer transformational workshops, classes in sensual touch, Tantric explorations, improvisational games, and much more.

Our physical home includes a beautifully decorated dome, whose disco-ball top has been a fixture on the Esplanade for four years.

We have a variety of classes, but specialize in adult theme workshops. For the last four years, when these programs were offered on the Esplanade, we had lines outside the door that formed up an hour before they started. We had to turn many people away. This year, we are augmenting our already popular program with additional late night programming. Given the extremely high level of interest, and the increased level of programming, we certainly hope to return to the Esplanade once again.

Since our camp does offer some adult-themed programs, we have a “doorman” posted at the entrance of the dome during such programming to ensure that only age-appropriate participants can enter. We also do not have any sexually-explicit signs or graphic elements. We consider the work we do to be spiritual practice, teach it as such, and have been amazed by the response it has elicited.
